U-R-SO respects your privacy. With regard to your personal data, we rely on transparency. We explain here which personal data we collect; what we do with the data also we explain which legal base the data is used and to whom the data is disclosed.

WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA BY DEFINITION?

According to Art. 4 No. 1 DSGVO "Personal data" are any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A person can be identified if unique information such as the name or e-mail address can be assigned to a particular person. Personal data, however, are also data where the identity is not directly assignable, but can be determined. For this purpose, own or third-party information can be enriched and combined, which represents conclusions about a person and thus identifies a person.

WHAT KIND OF PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT? 

We collect personal information when you visit our website using the URL www.u-r-so.com or make a purchase as a customer.

Website visitors

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your 

• web browser, browser version, network, operating system
• the IP address,
• the time zone, date, time and
• some of the cookies installed on your device.

When you navigate on our website, we also collect information about the individual web pages or products you click, the web pages or search terms that led you to the website (referrals), and information about how you interact with the website. We refer to this automatically collected information as "device and activity information."

These may also include cookies from third-party providers (so-called third-party cookies). We use such technically unnecessary cookies only with your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO. You give us your consent via the cookie banner, which is displayed to you at least during your first visit to our website.

To run our online store, we use the store system called Shopify https://www.shopify.com. Shopify transfers your data to data-centers outside of Europe, including Canada and the United States. If you click on "accept all cookies" on the cookie banner, you agree to the storage and use of all cookies. Your consent thus also extends to the transfer of data to providers in the USA. We would like to point out that, according to the case law of the European Court of Justice, the USA currently does not have a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU and that there is a risk of unnoticed data processing by state authorities.

The duration of the storage of cookies can be found in the overview in the cookie settings of your web browser. When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase on the website, we also collect certain information about you. This includes the

• name,
• billing address and shipping address,
• email address and phone number
• details about your purchase (for example, the size of the garment).

We refer to this information as "order information."

By "personal information" in this Privacy Policy, we mean both device information, activity information and order information.

 

WHAT IS BASICALLY UNDERSTOOD BY "PROCESSING" OF PERSONAL DATA?

According to Art. 4 No. 2 DSGVO "processing" is any operation in connection with personal data. This applies in particular to the collection, recording, organization, arrangement, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, transmission, dissemination or other form of making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction of personal data.

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Generally, we use the collected order information to fulfill orders we receive through our webstore (including processing your payment information, providing shipping, and sending you invoices and/or order confirmations).

We also use this order information to:

Communicate with you; Provide you with information or advertising related to our products or services, consistent with your privacy preferences.

We use the device information we collect to improve and optimize our website (e.g., using analytics on the navigation behavior of our website visitors/customers and their interaction with the website) and to evaluate the success of our marketing and advertising efforts.

 

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We share your personal information only with third parties who support us in fulfilling our purpose.

For the fulfillment of the contract according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO, we pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you have selected in the check-out process, we pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to the payment service provider commissioned by us. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. According to Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO the processing is necessary to protect the overriding legitimate interests of the controller. Our legitimate interest lies in the purpose of being able to carry out targeted online advertising for our own offers and to evaluate its effectiveness and reach. If you are asked for consent by us via a banner or a pop-up when visiting our website, this consent constitutes the legal basis within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
